Canstruction Goes Galactic!

A Canstruction Exhibit 

Attention SMS Families: Miss August needs your cans! Why you ask? For Canstruction, of course! 

"Canstruction^® is a unique charity which hosts exhibitions showcasing colossal structures made entirely out of full cans of food. After the structures are built, the cansculptures^® go on display to the public as a giant art exhibition. At the end of the event, all food is donated to local hunger relief organizations."

 SMS has been participating in this charity by collecting cans and creating cansculptures® for a number of years. This year, our cansculpture® will be based on scenes from Star Wars. Everyone at school has been working hard collecting cans and creating scenery for the school stage. Tomorrow (10/10) we will have a Star Wars Themed-lunch to celebrate everyone's hard work! Cans will continue to be collected until October 17th.
