Image Making Paper

In addition to making our Animal Leaf Collages, we are also going to make a class book about animals in New Hampshire. To illustrate this book, we are going to make paper collages of our animals and their habitats, but in order to do that, we needed to make some special image-making paper so we could have different colors and textures for our collages!

We used four different techniques to create our paper. We used:

Mixing Watercolors:

Sponge Painting: 

Tissue Paper Collages:

And Watercolors with Straws:

Everyone got the chance to try all four techniques, and we will all share the paper we created with one another when we are creating our illustrations. We are excited to learn more about the animals of The Granite State so we can create our book!
