Literacy Centers

This week during our Literacy Centers, we learned about the snap word "A" and the sounds that "P" and "B" make! 

We practiced reading and writing Uppercase A and lowercase a with white boards, paint, blocks, and play doh! Later in the week, we wrote sentences using the word "A" which we know to use when we are only talking about one thing. 

A pencil. A cat. A house. 

A train. A cloud. A raindrop. 

We also practiced making the P and B sounds with the Lively Letters program! This helps us to know what sounds to make when reading each letter and how to make that sound. Next week, we'll be exploring new snap words and letter sounds, and we will also be working on publishing our very own books!
