Shadow Puppet Fun in MakerSpace!

During our last few visits to the MakerSpace, Mr. Gagnon has asked us bring along the information we've collected for our New Hampshire animals to use with an app called Shadow Puppet. This app allows the user to create custom videos that are easy to share, and the giraffes used the app to create short informational videos about their animal. Click on the links below to watch!

Busy Beavers!

Over the weekend, one of our giraffes went hiking with his family on Mt. Agamenticus and found this awesome beaver dam! This giraffe has been working hard to research the beaver, who is his New Hampshire Animal, and we are so glad he got to get up close and personal with some of their handiwork! 

Animals in Our Backyards

Since beginning our study of animals, we've talked about about different kinds of wild animals that live in New Hampshire (or off the coast!). We brainstormed quite the list:

On Monday afternoon, we took a walk around the woods of SMS to see if we could see any animals or any signs of animals there. 

While we weren't able to see any animals, we did find evidence of creatures that had been there! 

We thought of a few insects that were probably munching on this wood by the playground!

We talked about how many of the animals in the woods around SMS probably stay well hidden until school is released because they might feel shy around people. We will try again next week to see what we can find!
