Our First Week of School!

We are pleased to introduce our 2019-2020 Giraffe Class!

On Monday, each of the giraffes got to visit our classrooms with their families, and on Tuesday, half the class joined Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Quinn in the morning and half joined in the afternoon so we could go on a practice bus ride and explore our classroom with a few of our classmates. On Wednesday, we had our first FULL day in K! Here are a few photos from our first few days together at SMS, including our celebrity siting of Pete The Cat!

We can't wait to see what this year will bring with these bright, silly, smiling, fun-loving giraffes!

Our First Few Days in K!

Our year in the Giraffe Class is off to a great start! We've been having so much fun getting to know our classmates, making new friends, exploring our classroom and enjoying all that SMS has to offer! 

Our first day was INCREDIBLY hot, as were many of the days during our first two weeks of school! We beat the heat by staying in the shade and enjoying some popsicles :)

We've enjoyed getting to play on the "big" playground during our morning recess and our lunch recess!

One of our favorite parts of the day has been Free Choice in our classroom! 

The Seal Class let us check out the chrysalis that their Monarch Caterpillar made, soon it will become a beautiful butterfly! 

We've been able to start making our "mark" on our classroom with our artwork and our list of classroom rules that we created ourselves! 

We can't wait to share more of our fun, silly learning adventures with you!
