Giraffe of The Day

These giraffes had their first turn being Giraffe of The Day over the last few weeks! We are almost finished with our first round of "Giraffe of The Day" and once we are, we will start a new rotation with a new Giraffe Mystery Bag!

Over the last two weeks, about half of our class has had the opportunity to bring our Giraffe Mystery Bag home to share with their families and then to share with us when they were our Giraffe of The Day!

We can't wait to give the rest of our giraffes a turn with the Mystery Bag over the next two weeks. Then, it will be time to start a new rotation!

Giraffe Mystery Bag: Coming Soon to a Home Near You!

This week, we learned about our Giraffe Mystery Bag and Giraffe of The Day! Starting next week, we will choose one giraffe at random at the end of each day to take home our giraffe mystery bag to share with their family. Inside, there will be a book, a math game, a toy giraffe to share with our families, and information about what our Show and Tell Theme is for that Mystery Bag Month. Mrs. Mitchell modeled Show and Tell with the giraffes on Friday, and it will be Mrs. Quinn's turn on Monday. We will begin choosing students to bring home the mystery bag on Monday afternoon! 

This month, our Mystery Bag/Show and Tell Theme is Getting to Know You, so the next day, the student who brought home the bag will bring it back along with a Show and Tell item that fits that theme and they will get to be our Giraffe of The Day. Besides it being their share day with a student is Giraffe of The Day, they will also get to be our line leader, run Calendar and Weather, and do special jobs around the classroom!
