Celebrating Small Moments

Over the past few days, we've begun to wrap up our Writer's Workshop unit on writing small moment stories. Small moment stories are personal narratives about one small moment in time (a seed within a watermelon, if you will!) 

Today, we chose our favorite small moment story we created and celebrated our best work by sharing them with one another. Everyone has a small moment story they've created on our bookshelf in our classroom library. They are about everything from hikes up to waterfalls at Sugar Loaf, trips to the zoo (some even got to feed giraffes!), riding the crazy/fun rides at the Stratham Fair, going to Times Square, and learning how to swim. 

We loved reading/hearing one another's stories, and we are excited to move onto our next writing unit, Authors as Mentors with Kevin Henkes!
