Water Cycle

On Monday, we had a small review of the water cycle in preparation for our upcoming science magic sessions on earth science. We read a book on the water cycle to refresh our memory on condensation (water vapor collecting and forming clouds), precipitation (rain) and evaporation (water vapor rising from bodies of water and traveling into the sky). 

Afterwards, we made visuals of the water cycle by coloring and creating Water Cycle Windsocks. These windsocks show us how bodies of water are heated by the sun, which causes some water to evaporate and condensate into clouds. When the clouds are large enough, the precipitate onto the earth below!

We hung our windsocks from the ceiling, and we are hoping they will bring us some spring sun and showers soon!
