Ahoy There!

Arrrrrg! We have had so much fun preparing for our upcoming play How to Be a Pirate in Seven Easy Songs. While we've been able to get together with the other second grade classrooms on the stage for some full rehearsals, we've also been working hard to prepare within our classroom. Mrs. Chartier told us that we've been doing an awesome job practicing, she was so impressed by our song and our actors and actresses! 

This week, Mrs. Pitcher helped us make some awesome pirates using our hands to put on our shared bulletin board. They look great climbing up  to the crow's nest on our ship and searching for treasure on our island! 

Our bandanas for the play also came in this week, so we got to try them on for our rehearsal on Friday! Ms. Riley also ordered some more accessories for us to adorn, but those will be a surprise :) 

Our play will take place on Tuesday, June 9th at 6:30 pm for our friends and family. We will have a dress rehearsal the day before on June 8th, so if everyone could bring their costumes to school that day, it would be very much appreciated! Just as a reminder, our costumes will consist of jeans with a black t-shirt for boys and a white t-shirt for girls.
