On Friday, we read the story Beautiful Oops! by Barney Saltzberg as part of our focus on being flexible. Earlier this week, we were able to practice being flexible out on the playground by learning some new games and coming up with more than one plan for when we want to play with friends, and now it was time to practice flexibility in the classroom.
Each of us chose 3 "oopsies" to make on a piece of paper--we tore it, made holes, folded it, crumpled it, stained it, and dripped and splattered paint! Then, we turned on our "flex brains" to turn those "oopsies" into a masterpiece.
We turned tears into crocodiles, crumples into skateboards, holes into eyes, splatters into fireworks, and drips into confetti!
