Names, Names, Names!

Our second week in Kindergarten has been all about names--practicing writing and spelling our own names as well as studying the names of others!

Each of the giraffes got to make a name rocket, which was also great practice for using glue for projects--just a dot, not a lot!

We also used bingo daubers to write our names, and we also made some self-portraits to go along with them.

After reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, we made our own coconut tree with all the letters in our room! We've been calling the first letters in our names our "Star Letters" since they are always capitalized. Gerald the Elephant is our class Words Expert, and he has been helping us study, stomp, and cheer everyone's name in our classroom. Every day, he's been putting another giraffe's name puzzle in his backpack for us to study!

We can't wait to study some more names and letters next week!
