One big adjustment we are making in these first few weeks of the year is getting used to our class routines and our schedule. Our days change slightly from day to day, and our time in the classroom can look very different depending on what we have going on. Sometimes we will put out centers to the giraffes to play with and explore at their own pace with some "have to" centers and some "choice" centers, and sometimes we will have "free choice" which means the giraffes can play with/explore anything in our classroom! One thing is for sure--we are and we will continue to be learning A LOT by playing and exploring!

Shapes
Sometimes we will choose a center activity to play with at free choice, but we can also choose from lots of other things in the classroom that aren't usually a choice during center time. This week, one of the most popular choices was dress-up!
The Giraffes are doing a great job of being flexible when it isn't choice time, which we know can be very hard to do! No matter what, we hope they are having fun learning and playing together :)
