Picture Day

Not only was Thursday "Picture Day" but it was also our first sunny day of the week (and our last official day of summer!) So we took some time after taking our pictures to enjoy the outdoors.

During our morning meeting, we voted on our favorite kind of picture. Since "selfies" were our class favorite, we took a class selfie to celebrate a successful Picture Day. Say Cheese!

Just Look At Those Smiling Faces!

Today we received our school pictures that we had taken on Picture Day back in September. Just look at those smiling faces!

Say Cheese!

Thursday was Picture Day at SMS! Everyone looked awesome sporting their big smiles to school! While we took a whole class picture including Ms. Riley, Mrs. Zampini, and Mr. Fosher with the photographer, we took one more picture outside (this one included a few Pokemon friends!)

Welcome Back!

We had a wonderful first day back at school! We met lots of new friends and got to live in our new classroom for the first time. We follow a 6-day rotating schedule for Related Arts, so we started with P.E. today and we will have Art tomorrow! This is how the rest of our schedule follows:

Day 1 (yellow)- P.E

Day 2 (green)- Art

Day 3 (orange)- Music

Day 4 (red)- P.E.

Day 5 (tan)- Library

Day 6 (blue)- Maker Space

Believe it or not, next week we will be holding our K-2 Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 10th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Picture Day has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 17th, so be sure to bring an extra big smile to school that day!

Say Cheese!

Today was Picture Day at SMS! Everyone brought their best smiles to school for our class and individual pictures. While we did take a class picture in the cafeteria, we also took a few in our classroom. Enjoy!

Important Dates

This is a quick reminder that tomorrow (9/17) is an early release day. We will be dismissed at 12:50 pm.

We also have Picture Day as well as our Curriculum Night coming up on Thursday (9/18). Tell your young giraffes to bring their best smiles to school! I look forward to seeing all of you Thursday night, I will be in my room sharing information about our second grade curriculum from 6:30-7:30 pm.
